Update for eTaskMaker Help Files

InterPlan Systems has released updates for the eTaskMaker Wizard and Module Editor help files. Updates include details on exporting considerations for some of the newer exporting options as well as an entire new tutorial for new module creation.

eTaskMaker Module Updates for September

InterPlan Systems has released the following new and updated eTaskMaker estimating modules:

• Anchor Bolt Replacement – (new) Estimate/plan to replace anchor bolts in situ, without having to remove the equipment.
• Block Valves – Bolted (Rev. 18) – (updated) Improved task definition.
• Concrete Structure Repairs (Rev. 3) – (updated) Improved estimating formulas for durations.
• Furnace Radiant Section Tube Repairs (Rev. 3) – (updated) Enhancements include improved estimating formulas for welding tube bends, additional scope to include/exclude stress relieving, hardness test/hydrotest and a full range of metallurgy factors.
• Heavy Machinery Foundation Repairs – (new) For repairing cracked compressor foundations. Two methods are available: horizontal post-tensioning and vertical pinning.
• Paddle Blind Installation (Rev. 8) – (updated) Can now create multiple paddle blind installation tasks under the same work order number.
• Pipe – Small Bore (Threaded) Field Erection (Rev. 5) – (updated) Now includes heat tracing (steam/electric), insulation, plus improved duration estimating formulas.
• Pipe Spools (Bolted) – Field Erection (Rev. 1) – (updated) Now includes heat tracing (steam/electric), insulation.

eTaskMaker Module Updates for July

InterPlan Systems has released the following new and updated eTaskMaker estimating modules:

• Blind Installation Detailed (Rev. 1) – (updated) This revision now allows for the preparation of a work order estimate and plan that can include scopes for the following options:
  • Selection of craft labor
  • Installation of scaffolding (if necessary)
  • Use of a crane (if necessary)
  • Use of SCBA (fresh air safety equipment) (if necessary)
  • Specify blind size, rating, thickness
  • Prepare a single, global scope for multiple blinds
  • Prepare individually defined blind installations
• Heat Exchangers – Fixed Tubesheet (Rev. 12) – (updated) Three modifications:
  • allows for specifying the number of bolts to be removed / cleaned / inspected / replaced
  • includes tasks for modifying the scaffold to allow for the removal/reinsertion of the tube bundle
  • removes the option for removing/replacing the entire exchanger. A new module was created for this purpose, that offers improved estimating depth
• Heat Exchangers – U-Tubes (Rev. 19) – (updated) Three modifications:
  • allows for specifying the number of bolts to be removed / cleaned / inspected / replaced
  • includes tasks for modifying the scaffold to allow for the removal/reinsertion of the tube bundle
  • removes the option for removing/replacing the entire exchanger. A new module was created for this purpose, that offers improved estimating depth
• Heat Exchanger Replacement – (new) Contains tasks for the removal of an existing heat exchanger and installing a new one in its place. There is an option to modify the foundation for the new exchanger, if required. This module replaces previous exchanger replacement tasks embedded in maintenance modules.

Maintenance Update for ATC Professional

A new update for ATC Professional is now available from the the client download repository that includes a several minor bug fixes (documented in the enclosed text file).

• Pipe – Field Erection (Rev. 12) – (updated) Adjusted estimating factors for the installation
  of metal jacketing on insulation.
• Pipe Spools (Bolted) – Field Erection – (new) Allows for the creation of estimates/plans for the installation of bolted pipe spools of multiple diameters.
• Vessel Erection (Rev. 8) – (updated) Removed piping scope from this module. Associated piping modules can estimate the scope with better detail.

Update for eTaskMaker Wizard

InterPlan Systems has released an update for the eTaskMaker Wizard that includes the ability to edit estimates prior to export.

eTaskMaker clients may now download the update from our downloads repository. Clients with an Enterprise license should contact InterPlan Systems for customized updates.

The eTaskMaker demo has also been updated with the latest version of the Wizard and an updated demo of the latest Drum module.

eTaskMaker Module Updates for December

Many eTaskMaker estimating modules created and/or revised for this update contain productivity adjustment factors. There are now four (4) different kind of productivity (loss) adjustments possible:

• UNIT ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD CONDITIONS – Productivity adjustments can be made for work in a process unit where environmental hazard conditions require extreme safety measures such as the wearing of protective gear, SCBA, etc.
• HEAT STRESS – Heat stress, usually occurring in confined spaces such as inside vessels, towers, etc. (unless they have been air-conditioned or sufficiently ventilated). Also, high humidity combined with high temperatures contributes to make the enclosed work space uncomfortable, and therefore conducive to productivity impacts. The heat stress productivity factor adjustment only influences the task durations, for internal vessel work. Work that occurs outside the vessel are not affected.
• PRODUCTIVITY LOSS – Productivity loss, associated with insufficient worker’s training and/or experience, can be adjusted for certain key crafts. Key crafts are those that directly affect the execution of some work. Typical key crafts include Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Mechanics, Welders (even though it may be possible to adjust the productivity factor for other crafts, such as Insulators, for instance, where this craft is the main workforce in charge of a particular task).
• GLOBAL PRODUCTIVITY ADJUSTMENT – This is the option built in to the eTaskMaker software and is available for all modules. A global productivity adjustment affecting all tasks can be made after the estimate has been completed and is ready for export.
