InterPlan Systems to Preview a New Version of ATC Professional

InterPlan Systems will be previewing the long awaited and much anticipated major version update of our ATC Professional Shutdown / Turnaround Management System at the 2009 NPRA Reliability and Maintenance and STO 2009 conferences.

The new ATC Professional encompasses numerous enhancements and innovations (to be formally announced when the software is released). We invite you to stop by our booth at either conference to get a preview.

eTaskMaker Module Updates for March

InterPlan Systems has released the following new and updated eTaskMaker estimating modules:

  • Blind Installation Detailed – (new) Allows for the creation of a single Blind installation estimate, by specifying the size, rating or thickness, and whether scaffolding and/or a crane and/or SCBA are required for breaking the flange and installing the blind.
  • Drum Erection – (new) For installing a new drum.
  • Heat Exchanger Erection – (new) For installing a new heat exchanger.
  • Tower – Product Stripper (Rev. 3) – (updated) Enhanced estimating formulas for crew assignments on blinding activities.
  • Unit Start-Up Milestones (Rev. 2) – (updated) Improved scheduling logic.

InterPlan Systems to Host a Free Planning and Scheduling Seminar

Houston, TX, February 2, 2009 — InterPlan Systems today announced a free seminar for Thursday, February 26th in Clear Lake City, Texas for their eTaskMaker project planning software from 9am until 11am.

The presentation will be conducted by Mr. Dick Ertl, President of InterPlan Systems and the developer of eTaskMaker’s estimating and planning knowledge base (also known as meta-templates). Attendees will learn about best practices in estimating and planning for the petrochemical industry, including how to make adjustments for productivity, new technology, work processes, etc.

While the class is free, registration is required and limited to a maximum of eight (8) attendees. Registration closes Monday, February 24th. Directions to the meeting facility in Clear Lake City, Texas will be furnished with your registration.

  • HFO Storage Tank & Steam Heating Coil – (new) Covers draining the tank, cleaning it out, inspecting it, and replacing the heating coil.
  • Pipe Rack Fabrication and Erection – (new) Covers fabrication, erection and fireproofing of structural steel pipe racks – single, double or triple tiers, with standard type (profile) I-beams.
  • Paddle Blind Installation (Rev. 7) – (updated) This module was previously named just Blind Installation. It now includes paddle blinds of 900# and 1500# ratings.

  • Heat Exchangers – Fixed Tubesheet (Rev. 8) – (updated) Enhancement covers adding repair severity parameter for the heat exchanger shell (minor, average, major, extensive repairs).
  • Heat Exchangers – Floating Head (Rev. 10) – (updated) Enhancement covers adding repair severity parameter for the heat exchanger shell (minor, average, major, extensive repairs).

Announcing a special eTaskMaker Wizard class on Thursday, November 20th

Houston, TX, October 8, 2008 — InterPlan Systems today announced a special class for Thursday, November 20th in Clear Lake, Texas for their eTaskMaker project planning software. The class will be conducted by Mr. Dick Ertl, President of InterPlan Systems and the developer of eTaskMaker’s estimating and planning knowledge base (also known as meta-templates).

This class will be hands-on, with attendees receiving a fully licensed copy of the eTaskMaker Wizard with all estimating modules pre-installed on a brand-new Dell laptop computer. Each laptop also includes a special version of the ATC Shutdown/Turnaround Management System, to generate sophisticated estimating reports.

Attendees will learn how to prepare detailed work order scopes for all kinds of work – towers, vessels, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, mechanical, piping, instrument, electrical, repairs, insulation, etc. and export the estimates to their favorite scheduling programs. In addition, the class will cover how to make adjustments to the estimates, for productivity, technology, etc. and prepare a variety of estimate reports (manpower, staffing levels, equipment, and other cost categories).
