eTaskMaker Module Updates for November

InterPlan Systems has released the following updated eTaskMaker estimating modules:

  • Block Valves – Bolted (Rev. 24) – (updated) Includes some enhancements to estimating formulas and schedule logic. Also incorporates a safety permit and allows for the specification of different types of insulation.
  • Block Valves – Welded (Rev. 23) – (updated) Incorporates a safety permit and allows for the specification of different types of insulation.
  • Check Valves (Rev. 5) – (updated) Includes some enhancements to estimating formulas and schedule logic. Also incorporates a safety permit and allows for the specification of different types of insulation. Improvements were introduced with assistance of Mr. Joe Hossack, Suncor Energy.
  • Heat Exchangers – Fixed Tubesheet (Rev. 15) – (updated) Minor improvements with the bolt inspection tasks.
  • Heat Exchangers – Floating Heads (Rev. 16) – (updated) Minor improvements with the bolt inspection tasks.
  • Heat Exchangers – U-Tubes (Rev. 26) – (updated) Minor improvements with the bolt inspection tasks.
  • Heat Exchangers – Vertical (Rev. 15) – (updated) Minor improvements with the bolt inspection tasks.
  • Pipe – Small Diameter Welded – Field Erection (Rev. 2) – (updated) Improved estimating formulas and schedule logic.

eTaskMaker Module Updates for September

InterPlan Systems has released the following updated and new eTaskMaker estimating modules:

  • Control Valve (Rev. 15) – (updated) Updates some task descriptions and includes a new task for stroking the valve.
  • Electric Motor Overhaul (Rev. 7) – (updated) Allows for specifying the level of difficulty in removing an electric motor for shop repairs.
  • Expansion Joint (Rev. 4) – (updated) Allows for specifying the refractory cure time (depending upon the type of refractory used).
  • F.C.C. Regenerator Flue Gas Line Repairs (Rev. 4) – (updated) Improved estimating formulas.
  • F.C.C. Trickle Valves (Rev. 4) – (updated) Allows to specify the number of trickle valves to be inspected/repaired.
  • HP Steam Superheater – (new) Includes cleaning out, inspecting and repairing refractory in a HP Steam Superheater.
  • Pipe – Field Erection (Rev. 16) – (updated) Allows for the installation of both block and/or control valves, and improves tasks definitions.
  • Piping Demolition (Above Ground) (Rev. 3) – (updated) Improved estimating formulas.
  • Pumps – Centrifugal – Shop Repairs (Rev. 11) – (updated) Allows for specifying the level of difficulty in removing a centrifugal pump for shop repairs, and improves the task definitions.
  • Refractory Repairs (Rev. 4) – (updated) Improved task definition.
  • Refrig Compressor Turbine Press Case Overhaul – (new) Covers disassembly, cleaning, inspection and reassembly of a compressor driven turbine pressure case.

Estimating Webinar

InterPlan Systems announces a free Estimating and Planning webinar on September 13th., 2012 at 13:00 (1pm) CST.

The webinar will demonstrate a practical way to produce consistent, reliable estimates for shutdowns/turnarounds/outages in the process industries. Estimates can be exported to most popular scheduling and CMMS applications.

The webinar lasta 45 minutes. To participate, contact us to obtain the GoToMeeting session number. The webinar is limited to 45 participants, so we urge early registration.

eTaskMaker Module Updates for August – Major Release

InterPlan Systems has released the following new eTaskMaker estimating modules:

  • Four Stage Piston Compressor – (new) Replaces the basic compressor module originally included with eTaskMaker. This one has much better definition.
  • P.M. Breakers – (new) This module was created in collaboration with Mr. Steve Clark of DuPont – Sabine River Works.
  • P.M. Disconnects – (new) This module was created in collaboration with Mr. Steve Clark of DuPont – Sabine River Works.
  • Piping – Rubber Lined – Pinhole Leak Repair – (new) Allows for the preparation of an estimate / plan to remove a rubber lined piping spool for cleaning, inspection and repair.
  • Rotary Screw Compressor – (new) Allows for the preparation of estimates / plans to open, disassemble, clean and inspect rotary screw type compressors.
  • Scrubbers – (new) Allows for the preparation of estimates / plans for three different types of scrubbers (Eductor, Impinjet, Venturi).

In addition, the following existing modules were enhanced to allow the insertaing of I.D. Tag Numbers into tasks, and to allow the preparation of estimates from a list of like items:

  • NH3 Process Compressor (Rev. 6) – (updated) Edited some task descriptions to avoid truncation issues.
  • Pipe – Field Erection (Rev. 15) – (updated) Improved some of the estimating formulas.
  • Pipe – Shop Fabrication (Rev. 8) – (updated) Improved some of the estimating formulas.

Finally, numerous modules – too many to list here – were updated to remove adjustable resource productivity factors as eTaskMaker now has a built in method for controlling these norms. There are so many new and updated modules in this update release that we have included a .ZIP archive named modules.zip in the main folder of the downloads repository that contains the latest version of every module in our inventory.

eTaskMaker Software Maintenance Updates

InterPlan Systems has released maintenance updates for the eTaskMaker Wizard and Module Editor. The updates include a file with notes providing a complete list of the improvements.

eTaskMaker clients may now download the update from our downloads repository. Clients with an Enterprise license should contact InterPlan Systems for customized updates.

The eTaskMaker demo has also been updated with the latest version of the Wizard.

  • Pipe Insulation – Calcium Silicate (Rev. 5) – (updated) Includes additional insulation thickness factors.
  • Pipe Insulation – ESLIN – (new) Allows the preparation of pipe insulation using ESLIN, a new material that replaces traditional Calcium Silicate.
